when my brother-in-law saw our collection of bitters (which would not even fill a large shoebox), he said “now that’s just crazy”. I didn’t want to traumatize him by telling him that I was a dilettante compared to some people.
The wife and I just moved into our new house. I have to say I did have one box entirely of bitters.
I am moving from CA to KY, and driving my car, thus drastically limiting the amount I can take. Taking stock, a conservative estimate dictates that at least half the car will consist of my collection of spirits, liqueurs, bitters, and other liquid sundries. And that is after a month-long, self-imposed, no-restocking rule has been in effect, reducing my usual on-hand collection by about a third.
