in Mixology Monday

All right everyone: don’t forget that Monday, 13 November, brings Mixology Monday 9: Bitters. So open your new bottle of Fee Brothers Lemon, dust off that fernet or amaro in the corner of your bar, and get mixing!

The Rude Cosmopolitan is an update of a contemporary classic, replacing the Vodka with Tequila.

Glass: Martini
Garnish: Flamed orange twist
Method: SHAKE all ingredients with ice and fine strain into a chilled glass.

1 1/2 shots Tequila
1 shot Cointreau or Triple Sec
1 shot Cranberry juice
3 dashes Angostura aromatic bitters
1/2 shot Freshly squeezed lime juice
1/4 shot Lime cordial
1 dash Orange bitters

We have Jackson Cannon’s Czech-inspired cocktail over at Imbibe Unfiltered. Thanks for hosting!

So my friend Ouroboros and I decided to do a last-minute mixing run on Monday itself, because we’re awesome, and write up the results. Two serviceable drinks, the first one perhaps very good. Like to hear it, here it go.
